Hello there— I’m DNA.
I’ve been working as an illustrator and writer (subeta.net, valenth.com) for over 6 years. My sweet spots are concept art, monster design and worldbuilding, but I do other things, too! I enjoy composing music as a hobby, and I’m slowly inching my way towards stuff like designing toys and clothing because it’s so hard to find things that suit my tastes!
Valenth (the website) is part of my magnum opus— a huge universe of my own design revolving around some pretty broad and crazy themes. I work there exclusively at the moment, and I’m in the process of building up more of that to share on my personal sites on the Bad Gene Network (bad-gene.net, silentrose.net, and leupak.com).
As for me— I’m a 25 year old fat brown genderfluid asexual.
For all intents and purposes, I don’t have a gender of my own at all; it makes things odd at times, but I like it that way!
Call me what you like, but if you get tired of guessing, I prefer “they” pronouns (or even it, if you’re feeling rebellious! ;) ).I’m sort of a body positivity and gender activist, largely because I grew up being taught to wage war against a body I saw no reason to hate, while trying my best to force my gender presentation into molds that never fit because they were all I knew.
I speak out whenever I can in the hopes that my voice will carry to someone who needs to hear that they’re not alone in this world— even if most days, it sure as hell looks and feels like it.
That sort of thing will crop up in this tumblr along with my personal artwork, music, and snippets of my writing, and I refuse to be apologetic about it. It’s already far too common practice to treat fat people as inhuman and overlook the existence of asexuals and genderqueers, so if I can’t stand against that here in my own space, I don’t deserve any of the good fortune life has thrown my way.
